I think the site should make the chatbox into a popup. It would make it easier to chat and browse the forum at the same time

Noted and we will see what we can do,but we can't make any major promises because when you make a promise and you can't keep it,its bad for everyone and it makes things very hecktic.That is a good suggestion I'll give you a + reputation point for giving a useful suggestion.

Thanx for the rep. If you need help coding it I'd be more then happy to help you guys. Since it's a free site I'm pretty sure it doesn't have mysql or else I'd be able to code you guys a new chatbox, but since we can't mess with the chatbox code itself. Best bet would be to make a url redirecting code. For it to work you would have to set the chatbox so that it won't display, then create a template or personal widget named chat or whatever you guys wanna call it and just make a redirecting code using the chatboxs url and save it and were good to go.

I'm well aware on how to do it, it's just the fact of security and some other issues that i can't recall in Naked snakes word. I've messed with the catbox to an extent though, but you're right you can exactly change it. Most the things though are put into the CSS style sheet.

Last I Heard From Snake Is That If The Chatbox=Open To The Public Or What Not,People Could Invade On Conversations Unless There=An XAT Chat That Is PW Required & Only Set For Members Of This Site.XAT=Not All That Private & You Do Get Random Jerks/Pervs. There.

There have been cases where a hacker on a computer could come in and start problems,but like Ame said if there is a password protect that only the site members know it might be alright,but we can't let our guard down just yet..and Eve I sent the private message to ask about that something ya want to talk about..

I wasn't talking bout adding a new chatbox. Just modifying the built in one that the site has and I do agree the XAT chatbox are crappy since they're coded so that anyone can post even guest.Well only if you have it visible.

In a way since you guys host other Clans Forums adding a XAT chat box to their visible only to members forum would be an awesome Idea.
